Madden Sales & Service, Inc. was founded in 1981 by Edward H. Madden, its current president. It was incorporated under the laws of the State of Texas in January, 1983. We began as Manufacturers' Representatives, but our primary business is the wholesale sales of oil field equipment and supplies to supply stores in the Oklahoma and Texas Panhandle, West Texas, and New Mexico. We have since expanded our operations to cover all of the United States and Canada. We have corporate headquarters and a central warehouse in Odessa, Texas; also, a warehouse in Borger, Texas, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, and Farmington, New Mexico.

Realizing a need for new and innovative products, we established an Engineering and Development Department in 1986. Raymond Madden provides the expertise for this department. In 1991, Raymond established Madden Systems, Inc., however, he continues to provide engineering and development services for us.

Our Engineering Department provides quality product engineering and development services to the industry. The development of a viable product within specified terms is its goal. We designed and patented the EQUALIZER valve, a device to solve gas lock and fluid problems in producing wells. We also developed the SLICKLOGGER, an API logging system using non-conducting cable (battery operated).
Edward Madden has been instrumental in finding new products for our company to market. In order to assure that Madden Sales & Service, Inc. had a source for downhole pump parts, he established Horton Manufacturing Co. in January 1994. They manufacture products from brass, steel, and stainless steel. Upon request, products from monel and other exotic materials can be produced. Madden Sales & Service, Inc. acquired Horton Manufacturing in October 1999. Thus we are able to control product availability and quality control. Our manufacturing division acquired the API 11AX License for downhole pump parts, effective October 28,2002.
